Boston- Dec 12, 2019: Acquia announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire AgilOne to further deliver on its vision of providing open digital experiences. Harnessing the power of artificial intelligence (AI) and customer data to acquire, understand, and engage with customers; AgilOne brings valuable new capabilities to Acquia’s Open Digital Experience Platform. AgilOne helps marketers by providing a single view of the customer to see immediate value through personal experiences across every channel.

According to Dries Buytaert, Acquia’s co-founder, CTO, and chairman; marketers are demanding more control and flexibility over the tools they use for the customer experience. Unfortunately, many of these legacy tools lack real-time interactions and modern APIs, are costly, and lock data into silos where it’s inaccessible to other applications. Acquia and AgilOne, built on open-source technology, together will bring in data from any third-party system via open APIs, making it much easier for marketers to deliver more relevant, better analytics and customer experiences across every channel and gain this single view of the customer.

Nearly three-quarters of marketers feel that technology has made it harder to deliver personalized experiences, based on a recent study from Acquia. The bedrock of this challenge is data.
